Well I will try again!  Had a nice long post and it went poof!  So for now I will add some photos and suffice it to say that we made a safe and uneventful crossing of the Columbia River bar (graveyard of the Pacific), set sail for 48 hours and then motored for 24 more through the night and are now peacefully motoring down the Strait of Juan de Fuca to enjoy an evening at anchor.  I will add some photos and try to figure out why my nice long update went poof!
