You might recall that we live at the Rose City Yacht Club. There are two houses amongst 150 or so boats, and we are fortunate to live in one of them. This do-it-yourself yacht club is full of hand’s on, down to earth folks who are very active in racing, cruising, and enjoying the river on their boats.
Our newest trailer was ready enough to take on the club’s
weekend land cruise to the Memaloose Campground on the Columbia River. This gave us a good idea as to any main
issues we should fix before we ventured out on our 3-week May shake-down land
cruise. We enjoyed getting to know our
boating neighbors in a different setting.
We all poked around each other’s trailers, visited and enjoyed a great
potluck.
Back to trailer chores and lots of organizing of every
cubby, cabinet and drawer, stocking the fridge and pantry, packing our clothes
and we are finally ready for the 3-week adventure.
