Preparing to launch 2016

If you have been following our travels over the past few years you know that I have tried a variety of ways to 'keep in touch' while we sail in the summer.  Last Christmas our daughter-in-law Brittney gave us a wonderful book.  She actually printed out our travels and travails over the years and set up this blog spot for us.  SO....if you like to follow along as we set sail next week you can check out our blog.  I am not sure how this works but many of you probably follow blogs so hopefully it works out well.

Preparing to launch is always a little daunting.  We try to cram too many tasks in too little time but it is coming together.  Major boat projects are done, the house cupboards are becoming bare as the boat cubbies fill up.  We are lining up people to stay at the house while we sail away.  etc etc etc

Current plan is to stay here until July 5th, taking in all the 4th of July activities at the Club and watching fireworks with the kids and grands.  The boat will be tied up with front row seats to watch the fireworks across the Columbia River.

Morning of the 5th will find us casting off towards our annual stop at the delightful little Longview Yacht Club.

More to come later.  This is really just our test to see how the blog works so let us know if there are any glitches!
